Hotel Rila is great if you want to experience a variety of restaurants, entertainment clubs, and even a spa area. It's also perfect for children with amenities like a ski kindergarten and kids' club. Plus, it's near quad lifts for skiing.
Who needs clean rooms and soundproof walls when you can hear every word from the neighboring room? So relaxing.

Leaving the hotel is what we liked the most the moment.
The staff is rude, unprofessional and arrogant. The mattresses are awful. This is exactly the hotel I would never recommend. There are hundreds of hotels in Budapest so this is the one we'll never visit again.

Title: Convenient for Meetings, One Drawback
I wished there was a dedicated business center with printers and scanners. It would have been more convenient for me to have easy access to these facilities for my work needs.

Good value for the money. If you don't need fancy hotel, just a place to sleep over while on city break, Rila is perfect hotel for you. About 5 minutes walk to metro station, and in Budapest when you reach metro, you can reach all attractions in the city in no time. Hotel staff is helpful.
Lots of people in comments complain about matrasses. I agree, it's not top quality and should be replaced with new matrasses, but I didn't have any problems sleeping on it although I have sensitive back.

Room was clean and nice, well heated (I travelled in winter), comfortable bed, nice prints on the walls make the room feel cozy. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is a bit remote from the city centre, about 10-15 min walk from the metro station but was convenient for me because was close to the conference centre. Hotel is of a budget type and is a very good value for money.

I stayed at Hotel Rila for one night during my visit to Hungary. The location was perfect, with the metro station just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the city. The price was incredibly affordable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable, with a cozy bed and convenient amenities like a nearby light and plug. The breakfast was delicious, especially if you have a sweet tooth. it was a great stay and I highly recommend it.
Couldn't recommend more this hotel.

Great location near the metro, affordable price, and clean rooms. Ideal for light sleepers.
Felt safe walking at night, no complaints at all.

Very cheap and only 3 metro station away from city center. Also you can go there by train numer 2 so localization was very very good.
Bathroom was very dirty, equipment old, in room there was only place for bed and for nothing else. In the morning somebody knocked on our wall to calm us down when we were speaking quietly, so walls have to be very thin. Not for romantic weekend with beloved one :)

Location was ok. Hard wood floors were nice also.
The mattresses were terrible. The water would not drain fast enough. Water was standing everywhere after a shower.

The hotel's decoration has a charming vintage touch, with beautiful wallpaper and elegant furniture in the main lobby. The sitting areas are cozy and inviting, perfect for senior guests to relax and socialize. Additionally, the hotel is easily accessible for senior people, with ramps and handrails in place, making it safe and convenient for us to move around.
I would have asked for better assistance from the staff to make our vacation as seniors more enjoyable.

Nice staff, very responsive and it helps you in any thing, clean rooms, clean baths etc.
Looks like walls were made from paper...you can hear cleanly hear all the words and door sounds from the neighbors.

I chose this hotel for attending a colloquium and it provided everything I needed to organize the meetings. The facilities were well-maintained and the staff was helpful and accommodating.
The only service that I missed for my work was a dedicated business center with printing and copying facilities. It would have been convenient to have these services available on-site.
